Brisbanes coronation drive partially reopens with firefight

A huge firefight broke out between officers and people who were trying to gain entry to the royal family’s wedding feast at St James’s Palace on Thursday.

Staff at Buckingham Palace, where the wedding was held to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday, fled amid the chaos.

Several officers were seen leaving in the chaos.

A spokesman for St James’s Palace said: ‘A person in his 20s suffered minor injuries to his head and chest and was taken to hospital.
