Hot weather speeds up grape harvest by up to 60% in northern Argentina

“It is probably the first time that a grape grown in the Northern Argentinean interior has not been planted for several years,” said Dr Ricardo Fonseca, director of the Argentine Grape Research Center in Santiago.

The grape can grow from the cool desert climate to summer temperatures of 50º C (110º F) and to the hot and humid winter climates of the central and northern regions.

“In June 2009 we found that the harvest was down to 15-20 %,” Fonseca said, describing the decline as “the worst we have ever seen and ha강원출장마사지s caused a very serious damage to the local economy.

“The drought of the first half of 2010 is also one of the worst we have seen, with grape yields down by 15-20 % due to extremely wet and warm weather,” he added.

The scientists who discovered the grape said that they believe that their method has been validated with field data from 10 years ago from the same area in which t우리 카지노he phenomenon has been observed in the past.

The scientists are currently in Peru where they will be using a different approach based on their findings.

However, the work was made possible by the generous support from the Brazilian Wine and L강남출장안마iqueurs Board – a public sector institution, the research group is now working towards establishing the world’s longest vineyard.
