Brothers jailed over park bashing death have been remanded in custody after being told to remain silent over two attacks that killed a man after he attacked two youths riding in a bike path in the West End.
Inquiries into an attack on two black and Asian men on a north London park path last October also led to arrests in an attack in Leicester and a knife-wielding arrest in B블랙 잭ury, Suffolk.
Two men, aged 20 and 35, were jailed for 12 years each over the attacks which the High Court found had involved “extreme cruelty”.
The court heard how the attacks happened as two boys walked down a quiet path in Wandsworth in July 2005, and a man on a bikeskis jumped on the back of one boy, punching him and leaving him with severe injuries. The pair were on a bicycle path at a nearby park near The Pigeon in St Thomas’s Gardens in June 2006.
In total 11 people were taken into custody in the attacks, which were carried out by seven men aged between 18 and 40. None of the attackers wore a mobile phone or GPS, according to Suffolk Police. They said the first attack took place around 8pm on July 18.
One of the men then punched a white teenager, causing a bruise, and two other men attacked one black boy before another attacked a young Asian man.
