SEOUL, Sept 26 (Yonhap) — As North Korea continues to produce weapons capable of hitting the U.S., Seoul is taking 강릉출장마사지increasingly precaution바카라ary measures, which could limit the potential damage caused by war, the North’s foreign minister said Saturday.
North Korea regularly conducts military tests involving a range of ground-launched ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear-tipped projectiles at high altitudes.
South Korea also has increased its defense capacity to respond to an “act of war” after Pyongyang fired four ballistic missiles into the sea from the eastern sea around March 23.
“We are considering using force, including an invasion, of North Korea in response to North Korea’s acts of war. And to that extent, we have an inc퍼스트 카지노reasing interest in the Korean Peninsula,” Ri Yong-ho, a spokesman for leader Kim Jong-un, said, addressing an audience at the Korean Central Television’s daily political news program “Daily Show,” according to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency.
He also pointed to a report that U.S. aircraft carrier Carl Vinson is headed to waters off the Korean peninsula after traveling the South Korean coast before making its way to Japan for joint exercises with the U.S.
However, he declined to say if it is necessary for the U.S. to send in additional warships that could deploy missiles capable of striking the country.
“I am sure the United States has many options, some of which could include attacking North Korea with nuclear weapons as it threatens to test the American people through war, and that’s the reason we are moving in this direction,” he said, according to the official KCNA news agency, which cited him at the time as saying he did not want to see another war on the peninsula.
“We will not be giving ground and letting North Korea be the one to fire a nuclear weapon,” he said.
The North’s military has been conducting exercises since 2013 that began before North Korea fired several short-range ballistic missiles on April 15.
After a failed missile test, the North launched a rocket on April 25 that launched a satellite into space. In the ensuing incident, a U.S. Navy guided missile destroyer, the USS Carl Vinson, joined the North Korean Navy in its battle with the North over the border in the Sea of Japan.
